Scarlett Almeida (@elfscarlett) is a Liverpool-based artist from Porto, Portugal. Specialised in illustration, as well as jewellery and costume design, her work draws inspiration from the beauty of nature, pop art and retro-surrealism, combined with the whimsical world of fantasy, fairy tales and folklore.

As an artist, Scarlett creates digital and traditional illustrations, as well as high-fantasy costumes, textiles and hand-crafted jewellery. Her work explores the idea of alternative realities, where popular culture and folklore mix with natural elements and pastel colours.

Recently, Scar has started creating art dolls and custom handmade toys. These creations are one of a kind, and enable the artist to merge illustration with textiles and costume design, using existing skills on a new medium.
